I'm connected to a 2005fpw, so 1680x1050 in both games.
System specs:
A64 3200+
Asus A8N-E
2x512 Corsair ValueSelect
74gb Raptor
HL2: All details maxed, 4xAA/16xAF, ~35-75 fps in single player mode. Pretty consistent > 60 fps in CS:S.
BF2: High details, 4xAA, 16xAF, ~25-99fps (all over the place, but stays pretty smooth throughout, I could probably use some extra RAM to stop it from hitching).
The 7800 replaced an MSI X800XL and it's noticably faster. I could not run BF2 with the settings maxed out on my X800XL at all. HL2 hasn't really improved, which is odd to me.
Edit: I tried using FRAPS with BF2, but it made my computer crash 🙁
Edit 2: I just ran 3dMark 2005 and got a 7224, how good is that?
Edit 3: Help me in here:
