I got green dots now :*( HELP PLEASE!

I got these green dots after installing drivers new drivers. I thought they were a driver problem so I installed another one and another one still have the same problem. I have switched out my RAM for 2 different sticks. I have booted up windows XP pro on a sep hard drive and I still got the problem. I am on vista 64. Also it seems to decrease when I lower my RES.

My 8800 seems hot when I touch it for more than 5 seconds I get burnt but when I open riva tuner it says normal temps 58-63 idle depending on room temp. Not sure what going on but I need help. If it my card then IF any1 has delt with MSI support tell me how they are.

No green dots on the screenshot...that I can see.

Usually a bad sign, like imminent death of the card usually due to overheating. Is the fan spinning?

I don't see them either. Are you sure it's the video card? Might be time to hook up a spare monitor and check, or load your screenshot into a paint program and circle/arrow the green dots your seeing and post it again here. Also I noticed your core clock on your GTS in your sig is pretty dang high. Are the green dots permanent? Or do they come and go (might be pushing your card too much). Try running your card at stock speeds and see if the problem disappears.

do you see the green dots at all when windows is booting up, like right away at the first screen yous see? could be a bad monitor.

Are you talking about the dots surrounding the soldiers?

I'm curious too because I get that on certain games and not on other games.

I did set the card back to stock speeds but I still got the dots. It actually went away last night but now when I got on today they came back. The loading bar for windows is fine but once I get into the log in screen thats when they come on.
