I got fooled today...should have seen it coming

so i went to get some fast food, hand the guy my debit card....and declined. He tried it again, declined. I called one of my closest friends who is the VP of the branch of the bank. He says he is too busy to talk and if I need help, I should come into the branch. So I drive over, walk in (already pissed that I got declined) and explain the situation to him.

He brings up my account, and he tells me I don't have any money in my account! He even shows me screen. So I throw an absolute shit fit in the branch. After about 3 minutes of my tirade, he says april fools, right before I pop a vein.

Turns out he put a hold on my account and moved most of my money out of my account to fool me. Pretty good prank...after I sat down and calmed down.
 
He really had no business doing that, even in the interest of a good prank. I guess if you're cool with it though...
 
Uh... you should now call the police and file charges against him for wire fraud, embezzlement, etc.

Then tell him "April Fools."
 
That is certainly grounds for immediate dismissal for your friend. He is lucky you are such a good sport.
 
ha ha... if we do that at our bank, the guy will be fired on the spot. that's a terminal offense... er..or is it termination offense?
 
we always do this. if I owe him money, he just takes it out of my account. If he owes me money, he just deposits it in my account. He is one of my oldest friends, so I don't mind at all.

I was thinking of "filing" a civil suit since I know one of the filing clerks at the local court and she can make it look legit...but it's too much work.

Just run in there with a ski mask and scare him a bit and then take it off and yell "April fools".
