They should be all about the same...
Anyways, you should calibrate you receiver and speakers anyway, so it shouldn't really be an issue.
Your speaker's efficiency is going to be the main thing that's going to make a difference for final volume. Your receiver/amp power is going to be the next most important. Oh, and the number of speakers will obviously help you (more = louder).
If you have a decent receiver and speaker set though, you should be able to get ear splitting volumes without a problem anyway...
Is this your z-5500 set again, or a real receiver/speaker combo?
