Pfft. If you've got the skillz, skip class and show up for the tests. Always does the trick.

90% of professors at my junior college grade on attendance. Probably the main reason why I fail. Sometimes I just don't feel like wasting gas to drive to class.

Pretty crappy professors then.

I would have to agree. This one class I got B's on all the tests and A's on all the assignments, but since I missed like 8 or 9 days I wound up with a C+ in the class. Stupid.

For that to happen it would have to be in the syllabus. You knew from the begining of the class that attendance was important and chose not to show up. I'd say stupid is a fair assesment.

hmm, I've never had a class that graded on attendance, and usually 1/3 of people miss any given class, and thats at a top 20 school. But anyways, going to class is a good idea, but sometimes it is jsut a waste of time, you really have to determine whether or not your professor is actually worth listening to or if you can just study on your own and get good grades with less time invested. However if you are jsut skipping classes becasue you are lazy or are constantly having hangovers etc.. then thats not a good thing.

I disagree. If professors deem the classroom experience/participation critical to the learning environment and state on their syllabi that attendance is a factored percentage of the overall grade then not showing up for class is the same as failing a test (an open book test at that).
