Nice.

I get a free Glock 22 & a free CCW, btw. :p

w00t! Lets spend all that on those! Screw the savings account for my first house downpayment, I'ma get a glock so it can sit in the closet of my parents house until I get bored with it and sell it! :D:D

I already own several guns, none of which sit around for very long at a stretch. And even if you were correct, and I did end up letting it sit around till I sell it, I dont see $300 making a significant impact on a house downpayment.

Heh....they offered me $8 starting, but I held out for $13. Soon after, they gave me the salaried position with 5 weeks paid vacation, 2 weeks in holiday pay, free tuition, discounted health and dental, and a 10 percent pension.

Ohh yeah, I got a raise in June too...just before my 3% state mandated raise this month. Things are happy!!! I just hope my PDQ goes up for review soon so maybe I'll get reclassified and get more money. *crosses fingers*

Universities rock for benefits if you can get the packaged deal...

Well, around here they dont let students negotiate their initial pay rate. You can sometimes get your raises earlier, but there is a set initial rate and upper limit for any student worker position. So you basically have to do what I did, ie transfer to a better paying position, to get better cash.

Oh well, I'm off to go mow my grandfather's lawn (it sometimes sucks being the only young unmarried man in a large family that is still in the same region as the aging relatives), then off to the bar to celebrate my raise.

I don't know why you quoted me, because I get those things issued to me by the PD--doesn't cost me a thing.

I do know a Glock dealer and I'll see what kind of a deal he is willing to cut me (and I'll ask about a G23 while I'm at it). But if I were you I'd be looking for a G18C :D:beer:

EDIT: and on that note... good night.

Hah, I don't think they'd let me carry a full-auto anything...plus I'd actually have to *pay* for the ammo. :p

9x19 isnt very expensive. Plus, I mean... full auto. How can you say no to that?

By that logic I should just ask 'em for one of their MP5s. :p

You say that like there is something wrong with that idea.
