WARNING: Platform i386-winnt-cmdline not found; continuing in test mode.

I don't know if it's related but Norton Anti-Virus found trojan in 2 of my computers at home. SYSTEM32.EXE today

OH, that is just a warning that you have not switched to the new client. Since the FIX in the HOST file this is nothing to be concerned about. 😉

I didn't realize that was what Is0s was referring. :Q

My pain pills are starting to kick in so from here on I'm not responsible for what I may say. 😛 😀

I login, click Queues, then the name, mine is Q001, then there's a line below the message (Remove message).🙂

Do your self a favor... go to Trend Micro
I had worked at the company formerly known as AT&T Broadband (for 3 years Fixing Cable internet problems)
25% of the computers had some type of Trojan on them...
CYA go to Trend Micro and scan, its free for personal use... 😀
when it comes to a VIRUS , it is personal

EDIT: Most of those PC's had Norton running on them... just a thought...😎

The Trend Micro Online scan is great when you first touch a PC, but for on-going protection, there should be a good anti-virus software installed on the PC that scans in real-time.

I use AVG Anti-virus, Zone Alarm, and Ad Aware, and install all three on consumer/friend's PCs, as they are all free for personal use.

I had used Norton and McAfee (home PC) in the past, and when I installed AVG, it found several viruses in some zips that Norton and McAfee had missed. 🙂

If you don't like AVG, there are other "free" anti-virus apps out there. 🙂

And as most of us know, any anti-virus software is only as good as the last updated virus def file. I've run across PCs that had Norton on them, but the virus def file hadn't been updated in a year and a half. And they were surprised when I found several viruses on their PC. And when I ran Ad-Aware, it found 1100+ spyware/malware files.

Let's just say their PC ran a WHOLE LOT better after I was done cleaning out the viruses, spyware, and doing performance tuning. 😀
