Since when have Oakley have lifetime warranties? My square wires only had 1 year, and I'm pretty sure the warranty card on my juliets were only 1 year...My roommate's C-wires broke, and he found out he had 2 days to ship them to oakley before his one year warranty expired...where did you purchase your juliets, and did they explicitly state that they had a lifetime warranty? Or is there a difference between the wires and x-metals?

I am a huge Oakley fan. I used to be one of those people who bought $5 glasses. Decided one time to get a pair of oakleys, and never looked back. They are the most comfortable sunglasses I've worn, and I've spent like 2 hours at a sunglass hut trying all different brands. They may cost $250, but since I wear them year round almost daily, and plan to wear them for several years, its worth the $ in my opinion. I've got the Titanium Juliets with Gold Iridium lenses. btw 🙂.

The new half wires look soooo tempting...

I bought them at a store called spare parts, they are an oakley premium dealership. They explicitly stated that there is a lifetime warranty on them. Its in Canada, I think thats the way it is at any oakley premium dealership. Oh and it is with all oakley sunglasses sold by the dealer. I love my glasses, working on getting the ruby iridium lenses though, cause they didn't have them when I bought mine.... and I didn't want to wait.

I think he meant since when do Oakley's come with a lifetime warranty from Oakley, which they don't. I remember from my friend who used to work at the Sunglass hut that they offered a lifetime warranty on the sunglasses.

I went to Sunglasses Hut this afternoon to check out the feel of the quality of the Oakley product line... Honestly they feel kinda cheap... the Juliets are kinda huge, and has a thick plasticky feel to them... I liked the A-Wires(2.0) and the Square Wires 2.0 tho, even with that plasticky feel to them... so I went to replicas-online.com and bought a pair of A-Wires for 20 bucks haha... I refuse to believe the plasticky feel of the original would be much worse than the "metal frame" of the replicas... plus i get a free pair of square wires... 2 sunglasses(1 with color of my choice, 1 will probably be a random color selection), for 26 bucks total... not bad...don'tcha think?

i hope those are polarized. if not... man...

Some of them are, some of them are not. If you want to test to see if they are polarized, get two pairs turn one to 90 degree and look through two of them, if they are polarized, you will see a black shade, if they are not, you will be able to see through it

Actually, those plastic frames are awesome; their quality is top of the line. I work in the lab and we tried to heat them up one time; Unlike other plastic frames, which would soften under heat, Oakley frames don't, they will get extremely hot (to the point that it can burn your hands), but they never softten

thats the same reason i never liked oakleys in the first place... im still not too fond of them... i used to associate oakleys with those thick 'sporty' plastic sunglasses like all the xxxJacket models. those feel cheap as hell!

i bought the square wires because they were one of the few sunglasses that fit me well and i was completely satisfied with them. i would totally buy them again.

300$ for juliet/romeos? nope. 150$ for those plastic sunglasses? nope.

I found Oakley Juliets here at the military exchange for $238. I just can't see myself paying that much for sunglasses, especially since they are a good candidate for a) theft, b) loss, or c) breakage. I paid $15 for my current sunglasses, and I'll probably stick with those.

I might look at the Oakleys just to see what all the fuss is about. My wife would kill me if I bought them, though!

Are those Oakley's really metal frames? I've been reading up on them and they're supposed to be metal but they feel plastic and you say its plastic?? that fairly clueless guy at the Sunglass Hut said they were metal, but they felt soo much like plastic...

i just got the x-metal juliets, SIIIIIIIIICK. Got em for $150 off a friend of mine that needed money and asked if i wanted them.

I still have my eye jackets from waaaaay back when.

They are the nicest pair of sunglasses that I have ever owned... they were a little expensive, but thats what tax money from the government is for 😀. I got the ice lense, frame is plasma, and it is pretty much the perfect pair of sunglasses, and the lifetime warranty on them is great too. Just wanted to share my newfound sunglasses happiness with some people.

Those are nice ones. I may buy those soon as I lost my sunglasses that I had for 3 years cost me about $300

To those who say their expensive.
Thats true. But unless you've actualy tried a pair of oakleys on for a day I dont think you can rant about it.

The optics on Oakleys are by far the best. A $20 pair of sunglasses does not compare.
Their have been optical studies that show Oakley lenses are the most distortion free lenses.
Incredibly clear. I enjoy my Golf M Frame array very much.
I've yet to see a pair of shades make a dork look like Keenu Reeves.

I've always considered people with fake expensive sunglasses as cool or cooler than the ones that pay $300.

(They have more money to go to movies, eat out, concerts)

I have to say, that's one of the most fvcked up reasoning i've heard in a long time. So if someobdy buys a $300 pair of sunglasses, they have to live in poverty for awhile? If anything, i would put my money down that the person with $300 sunglasses probably eats out and goes out more than the person with fake $10 pair.
