At any rate it seems to be a fluke so enjoy! Do you plan on modding at all?

as of now.... no. We'll see after it gets mundane... right now it's just such a huge difference over my previous Nissan Altima 2.5s....

Technically you'd have to wait for after market to catchup with the car (since it's a brand new release) before any major mods. I think the most you could do get it tuned. (SAFC/UTEC, you know? high/low boost)

We'll see. Supposedly the DI is gonna make adding big power tough and I'm sure a FMIC would have to be part of the deal.

The problem I've read is that Mazda ECUs aren't the easiest to hack so to get the "best" results now you'd probably have to switch to a complete aftermarket EM setup.

Just slightly off-topic here, but why the hell does almost everybody overshoot the pavement and park on the grass or island if there's no curb?

Great car either way. If I had the money, that's the car I'd aim for. Right now, we're living off just my salary until the wife gets back on her feet. When that happens, ALL BETS ARE OFF!

sob, i hate you. heh... i want to trade in my 3 😛

Mazdaspeed3 rumored to be in the works😉

which would be a better size for me.. but I highly doubt they'll give me AWD. I might as well just build up my engine and slap a turbo on it myself 😛 Ok, not as reliable, but a lot more "fun"

plus, if it's the hatch, no good for me.. I want the sedan. I have a goal of reaching 160whp.. i doubt i'll get there though.

Congrats! One of the major car mags, Automobile I think, compared the MZS6 and Subaru Legacy GT. With the exeption of straight-line, 0-60 performance, the MZS6 was the superior car (EPA, road-holding, braking, price), but sadly the Subie won the match. Go figure!

GT, I think a similarly equipped MZS6 is more expensive since the "base" model doesn't have leather like the LGT does.

Man, no leather? Other then that, very nice car. Weird how the intercooler still gets enough air even though its top mounted (I think).

Was the price 28k otd, or 28k + taxes + fees and such?

That, and I woulda floored it to see how much power there really is, then tell them to get me another model. Or say test drive a different color and say you want that one.

Hopefully when I buy a new car (doubtful since my next car has like a 15k budget and I don't wanna take the hit on a new car) I won't be in a rush so I can be there as they peel the stickers off the car. My gf's car was peeled off that morning and we were the first test drivers.

awesome car. would've been even better had they turboed a v6...just so the motor doesnt have to be pushed so hard to get the most power out of the car

28k is most likely before TTL. I doubt they would sell it that cheap being so new to market.

What's so bad about them peeling the car when you get there? First ones to drive it sounds good to me🙂

hah thats awesome, my dad just got one too lol.

he got the cherry black color. it's a really REALLY nice lookin car. i did not get to drive it or anything but I just saw it. i also love the keyless entry with the sensor and stuff.

i'm figuring its the same one he got ... he said it was the brand new turbo mazda 6 that just came off the truck.

I'd want to see it come off the delivery truck too if I could. As for peeling, its probably because I'm fresh out of college and a new car would be a big thing for me, especially one I'd like enough to take the hit on depreciation to buy new. I want to be sure its BRAND SPANKING NEW. And with being the first one to drive it, theres only what the salesman tells you, you don't know for sure. Theres always something on the odometer.

Meh, face it. Its practically impossible to get a car that hasn't been test driven (or at least driven by a dock worker or other dealership guy). My car had like 50 miles on it before I even test drove it and I certainly wasn't easy on it.

I did a relatively hard break in procedure for all of my cars. Seems to work ok.

Nice! This car is quite rare as I haven't seen one on the street yet. How's the ride quality compare to a regular 6s (or your previous Altima)? I want to trade in my 6S HB but I don't want to lose the cargo capability of the HB. Kind of considered this car for my wife too but don't really want to have two Mazda 6 so we decided on an used STi. Man I wish they make a Mazdaspeed 5 with this engine and AWD.
