Just got a good deal on a used Maxima SE. 2000 SE, but really, it is sooo loaded it really is kinda a GLE. Looks brrand new!

Questions: It comes with Bose sound system 'premium' package. Really, a dinky single disc player and 7 speakers that sounded Awesome a few years back. Still sounds good, just sounds like the speakers were blown out.

What would it cost to get 7 very good speakers to replace the ones now? Not top of the line or anything, just really, really good.

ALSO: I have front heated seats. But the driver one does not work. Passenger one does work. What does it cost to get this fixed?

If you know, holla!!

EDITED😛

Fianlly, PICS!!

Damn, it was windy today!: car7.jpg

you dont really need 7 speakers, just a nice pair for the front really. a nice component set could be around 200-250

Congrats! As it happens I have a 2001 Maxima SE.

If memory serves the Bose speakers in the Maxima are internally powered somehow, so they'll be expensive to replace. IMO you'd be better off replacing the entire system, which won't be cheap. Ah well . . .

Yeah, I'm looking for somthing similar, maybe in I30/35 aswell. The stero is a pain to work with. Best to tear it all out and start from the beginning...your ears will thank you.

It has 79k miles. $10.5k Immaculate leather. Not a dent, scratch on the outside body. Everything.....

As for the speakers, are they like a special input connector? That can only match the Bose wiring or something?

How much would it cost to replace the whole system? Damn that sounds expensive.......argh....

Not internally-powered, but they have individual amplifiers. The stock head unit won't power other speakers.

So getting a car no longer makes you a Looser? Funny...it took my mom getting married for her to no longer be a Looser. My Uncles are stuck with that last name though.

Congrats. Welcome to the Maxima club 🙂 I have a deep forest green 97 custom myself. It's basically the GXE with the chrome accents, etc.

It's got almost 130K miles on it, going strong as ever. Maximas are great cars and it should treat you well. They have decent power too 🙂

When I got mine (it was used) it already had a new headunit. But the morons didn't put one in that did MP3's so I installed a new headunit and all new polk speakers. It's bumpin now 🙂

Uggghhh........

So having the Bose system is a liability....

Damn. Sounds like a S LOAD of labor charge to rip all the stuff out....??
