Day 751: My captors continue to torment me with bizarre dangling objects.
They eat lavish meals in my presence while I am forced to subsist on dry
cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of eventual
escape -- that, and the satisfaction I get from occasionally ruining some
piece of their furniture.

I fear I may be going insane. Yesterday, I ate a houseplant. Tomorrow I may
eat another.

TBM: You mean "your cat designates you as it's temprary care taker and servant. Duties include feeding, petting, and use as bedding material"

DEMON-

Yeah, thats it and a whole lot more such as:

Doorman
Heat provider or heat sink, dpending on season.
Lap provider
Rubbing post

On and on. The thing I like best is their attitude that eveything exists strictly for their pleasure.

I saw this as a bumper sticker and got a good laugh...

"A dog has a master... A cat has staff."

I got four, so tell me about it!

Cats rule, dogs drool! Wooohooo!

I just love looking at cats. Such beautiful animals, and their mannerisms are so interesting to watch. Dogs, on the other hand, are only good for beating up. (playfully, i mean. have you ever tried to wrestle with your cat?)

TRIUMPH-

Used to wrestle with my Siameese all the time. She get up on her toes and prance like Sylvester after Tweety. Would go on until Id say all right, thats enough and then all would be calm again. Did lose a lot of blood though.

Damn, I miss that one, the Orange tiger and my black male. Sometimes 10 -15 years is not enough.

DABONEHEAD-

A cat has staff---Yuk, Yuk, so true.

well, i can sorta wrestle with my one cat, cause he's very solidly built. but not the same way you can with a dog. i mean, you can almost punch a dog. punch a cat, and you'll break it. but still, cats are better than dogs.

I'm bi-petual... I always have always loved both cats and dogs. :)

My 15 year old cat is a better judge of character than I am. His wisdom never fails to amaze me. He always knows when I am pregnant and has been like a gentle guardian to each of my kids. I doubt that I'll ever be so honored by a cat again...

Years ago, I brought a new boyfriend home and my indoor/outdoor cat begged to be let in.

Once he was in, he promptly turned his butt to us and took a dump right on the living room floor.

He then turned around and meowed to be let out again.

My cat was right, the guy wasn't worth sh!t.

Yes, she isn't very cooperative and it's not nearly as fun as a dog.

Cats always seem to be able to cheer me up, my cat will followe me around and rub against my legs meowing. That can get a little annoying, but you realize tey are in love with you and you cant help but smile.
