I GOT A JOB BECAUSE OF ANANDTECH

A few weeks ago, there was a thread that DarkStar757 started a thread about some girly problems he was having, and how he was sorta down. When I found out he was here where I live, we decided to roll out and meet up to hang out. (And NO, it wasn't a date 😛) So eventually we went to pick up one of his work friends who helps in the hiring process at the company they work for. (I'm intentionally not mentioning the Company Name.) Well, we hung out, and they both said that they would keep a heads up if any job openings came up.

A few days later, DarkStar got in touch with me, and told me that I had to apply for a job on the company website right away, AND email his friend a copy of my resume. So, in the meantime his friend, who I had only met ONE time put in some good words for me to the gentlemen doing the interviews. (And I assume is going to be my manager.) Last week, I got a call from the Manager, asking me if I was interested, and I told him that I was. A few days ago, we did a phone interview (Because I was out of town at the time), and after that he emailed me the documents he needed me to fill out.

Long story short, today I got the call that my "Letter" is ready to be picked up on Monday morning, I need to look through the information, and sign....and I'm HIRED!!!!!!

This is a GREAT company, very decent salary for Entry Level.

I want to thank DarStar757 again, and his friend for helping me out. All of this was only after hanging out with them. I owe AnandTech, and that's why after my first paycheck....I'm gonna STOP being a cheap bastage and finally become a Subscriber 😛
