I'm friendly with the tech dept. people at my school. I spotted an IBM 600E shell in the trash and picked it up and some of the parts that looked like they worked, including an AC adapter.

It's the plastic case, motherboard/cpu/heatpipe, some kind of video adapter, and what appears to be a modem. No screen, battery, drives, or RAM.

Anybody know if there's some value in this?

You have a complete laptop, sans-LCD, RAM and drives. Sell it as-is, though, no telling if what's there works or not.

I'm almost positive that everything there works. Not sure on the adapter, not sure if they'd throw it out just 'cause it was extra.

Interested?

can';t find the link, but if i rememer correct that setup did have the lcd intact.

So you should bea ble to grab like at least $50.

BTW, i might be itnerested, waht CPU does it got, wahts the max ram (howm any slots?)

depending on all this, i might offer ya ~$30-60

Two RAM slots. Not sure on the CPU, how would I find out? I don't want to disturb the heatpipe system.

Come to think of it, I have two 32MB SODIMMs from my brother's Thinkpad. He upgraded.
Edit: And I just found a notebook HD that fits... keeping this sucker is getting viable. I'll have to ask the tech if he kept any more parts from it.
