I've heard the term used many times in message boards but I have NO idea what it means. I feel like a total loser asking this, but I'm kinda curious now😕
 
now a n00b is someone who doesn't use "search" to find the other half-dozen threads on this topic that answer the question and contain many amusing quips such as "this thread!" and "postcount++"

My understanding is that he was a member of this forum way back when who posted a LOT of useless, contentless posts... hence the term, "Neff"-ing.

Any of the older members care to back me up on this?
