Your experience is meaningless.

You made a claim that should be easily verifiable. It's your job to do that. Otherwise, you're just full of bullshit.
especially after having claimed to have been administered a FST in the middle of the road with cars whizzing by

OK how do I verify this? Please let me know.

i know if a cop ever asked me to do that i'd refuse the test and also refuse the breathalyzer. if you're right in saying the video actually had you in the middle of the road and a cop saying "jeez, he almost got hit", the prosecutor would have had some questions for the PO, not you.

Got to bring it to court. The powers that be wanted to prosecute. I was given my options. Maybe I COULD have won but if you contest a DUI you cannot drive at all until the verdict.

In S. Florida I was looking at about 1 year of catching rides.

You have made yourself look extremely ignorant in this thread, I would stop digging.

This just in: If you have been drinking, and you even OWN a car now, its a DUI.

o'rly, you are the ignorant one maybe mildly retarded perhaps...however, it's very clear you don't go out, don't like to drink and have no social life.

You are just spinning it like the rest.

I know the truth since I was ARRESTED for it doing nothing wrong. I love drinking, I don't drive drunk though. Many many many do though and each day they get home safely while many more sober people crash.

Here in MN you can legally ride a bicycle while intoxicated(although it's still not a good idea). What state are you in?

I'd really suggest consulting a lawyer, I think the way breathalyzer tests work is that they're required if you're operating a motor vehicle. When you sign for your license you sign to consent to one when operating a motor vehicle. I don't know how that could apply to a bike, as it no license is required to operate a bicycle. However consult a lawyer I don't much about state specific laws outside of my state.

I have a great social life, I'm very successful and intelligent, and I have a good amount of experience and knowledge in this matter.

And I think you're the one who is mildly retarded, in fact you may just be plain retarded. Stop posting ludicrous events that you cant back up.

i feel bad for you man, can do a lot of damage with a car but not so much with a bike. its probably risky for you (as you said you fell), but really don't see the need to protect other people from you. good luck

Have a little common sense; if you are going out to get blind, stinking drunk, you should either be within walking distance of your house (by which I mean within 5 blocks), or you call a cab. You shouldn't bike, you shouldn't rollerblade, you shouldn't skate, and you obviously shouldn't drive... no wheels when you are loaded.

That said, that's pretty damn funny.

I was gonna be on the side of the guy on the bike but he knowingly refused the breathalyzer. That's just fucking retarded. Still, it's a bicycle... Not the same as a motor vehicle not matter how much people try to make them similar.
why is it retarded?

In one case you are piloting 4000 lbs of steel, glass and plastic down the road at speeds of up to 100s of miles per hour. In the other you are piloting 20 lbs of bicycle at speeds of up to 10s of miles per hour. It doesn't take a fucking genius to figure this one out or to differentiate the two.

The only retards are the ones charging this guy with a DUI...and the ones condemning him for it.

Just to clear this up, the only reason that I refused the breathalyzer was because they would have taken me to a different station an hour north of my town. I had no phone, don't know any numbers and would have had no one to come pick me up. I didn't feel like spending a night in jail so refusing was my only choice.

holy shit i can't believe what lied in this thread

you gotta be kidding me.

DUI on a bike?!?!!!1!1

I would surely hope if you had a 20lb bicycle that you could peddle faster than 10 mph.

Anyway, who am I to question the almighty god who has over 35 000 posts? (And no life)

Well I didn't have my wallet so there would be no way for me to pay for a taxi. And plus this happened in a very, very rural area. I'm not even sure if there are taxi's here, atleast I've never seen them.

So, how'd you pay for your intoxication? Right...

Excuses, excuses.. It's all I am hearing.

don't even bother with this troll. i'm not even in a "very rural" area and i know it can be next to impossible to get a cab.

you heard the answers OP and you said you're getting a lawyer. not knowing your previous record, i'm pretty sure the charges will get reduced if not dropped.

If he is in the middle of no where, could be a friends house party or something.

Did you ever think that was possible?
