What type of dog is this? what can i do to train it? right now she's pretty hyper. She jumps on everyone and pulls a lot when i take her out for a walk. She also chew all the slippers but not shoes.

Mutt or not, she's still gonna love you! Good that you gave her a home.

Remember, taking care of a dog is like taking care of a baby. Good luck!

Speaking from experience, taking care of a dog is nothing like taking care of a baby.

Mutts are the best. Don't worry at that age you only have about another 6 months - 1 year of Devil Dog before she grows out of it 🙂.

Trust me, if this dog can be trianed I'm sure yours can be. We have her doing "Bang Bang" and she falls over and plays dead, waves, shakes, sits, speaks, fetches her leash, dances when you act like you're pulling puppet strings, and working on some others. Keep in mind she is only about 6 1/2 months old, and pugs aren't normally known for high intelligence (just laziness 🙂).

About the pulling on the leash, I recommend a harness for training (doesn't choke the dog) and you can do one of two things when she starts to pull: give the leash a quick hard tug and say "Heal" or when she pulls immediately turn the other direction. As for training for tricks, treats are how we did it. It takes some time....give a hand signal along with a voice command for what you want her/him to learn. Keep saying it until the dog does what you want or close to it. Eventually they associate the command with the act. About the chewing, give her lots of things she can chew (toys, bones, etc) and tell her "Good dog" when she chews on those and not your slippers.

Cute dog BTW....good luck.

Edit: spelling

You didn't buy her? Where'd you get her? If you got her from the Humane Society they should have been able to tell you kind of dog she is and what shots she's had.

Either way you should take her to the vet and make sure she gets her shots.

That dog is an "Aluminum Retriever" a.k.a. a mutt. 😉

Good of you to take it in. Dogs are the best.

Take her to an obedience class. She'll be fine then. The sooner you do it the better. I'll bring peace of mind.

She's a beautiful dog.

My dogs all come from shelters. After some obedience training their GREAT! 😀

BTW, mix breeds are great. Usually VERY intelligent and arguably more athletic due to the gene mix.
