got $1,600 budget. What LCD projector system can I get?

I am a student in high school and a teacher confronted me that he got a grant of 1,600 dollars to purchase a LCD projector for the class room. He already has a PC to connect it to. He wants to be able to view it on the screen and his monitor at the same time. He would need a video card for that correct or can you use some kind of splitter or switch?

He also needs the LCD projector it self... The projector can be the max of 25 feet from the screen (the length of the room.) The projection screen it self is 6 feet wide by 6 feet tall. Although he wants a bigger one and is looking around the school for one.

Basically he wants a good quality LCD projector that will last a long time and is worry free. He will be using it to show powerpoint presentations. So its ability to read text and the accuracy of color is important.

He was looking at the Dell 2300 MP model. I am unsure about them....

Does any one have any experience with these? Or has the Screen savers done an episode recently?

Thanks. And please respond fast, we don?t have a lot of time to decide!

Thanks!!! Great site. Which one would you suggest though? Any one have any experince with these?
