I give you the Subarota Legacy GS300

Hard to think of a carmaker that's taken more of a turn in the wrong direction in the past few years than Subaru since Toyota took over. Two years ago I'd have said it was my favorite Japanese builder, but now they don't make a car I love.

Toyota has less than a 20% stake, I'd hardly call that a 'take over' nor would I even think they have had much to do with recent things.

I think the more you look at this design the better it looks. I was a little taken back by it at first but am warming up to it.

Subaru has always been ugly, perhaps always will be. The 0-60 performance of H6 3.6L is like any other grocery hauler, so it is almost pointless to have it as it is going to haveterrible gas mileage.

Now the real problem is that all cars are getting bigger and heavier, I don't have clue why. You can't get decent midsize sedan that has length less than 190 inches.
Honda Accord V6 weights 3600 lbs, probably this thing even more. In 1999 Accord had weight of 3250lbs, and in 1989 it was 2800lbs.

sigh 🙁. I always loved the current Legacy GT. I suppose I'll reserve judgment until they release the GT version

Safety adds weight and the new Accord isn't a midsize sedan.

I used to love Subaru, I owned one of their classic creations, and now they are being killed, slowly. Their soul has been crushed.

RIP Subaru.

When I saw the rear pic I immediately thought Camry. I'm not sure I've ever seen a car such a blatant rip off of another, ever.

People want big cars!

I'll reserve judgement until I see them in person.

At least Mazda keeps going in the right direction. The new Mazda6 is a sweet car. My 2006 Mazda6 has motor envy.

Subaru was the only manufacturer to post an increase in sales in 2008, and are still gaining ground in 2009.
Your opinion isn't backed up by reality.

The new 3 is hideous. I want to wipe that smile off of its face!

Back on topic though. The back does look like a GS350 or even an Avalon. The front looks like a G35 or Altima with a Subaru (or older Acura) grill.

The only "big" car I want is a Crown Vic.
Otherwise, it's sport compacts or trucks for me.

where have you been? that happened in the 2009 model year.

Legacy = Sedan
Outback = Wagon.

I don't like that decision, but that's what Subaru is doing.

Outback <> Legacy. Outback's suspension has some off-road capabilities, not so with Legacy. I think they eliminated the Legacy wagon because it was cutting into Outback sales.
