I was just thinking... since we're ranting here.... all my life I've been in a family that saves, that doesn't rush out and buy the latest electronics, but waits awhile and saves $$ for when the novelty wears off and the price goes down.

And what reward do we get for being frugal? Our accounts take a beating and are shrinking away. We might better have blown our money than have saved it.
