Whatever company offers to hire the waitress will earn a lot of free, entirely positive advertising.

doubt it. i bet most won't even know its her. IF you did it will be in the backs of people's head that she posted PRIVATE information on teh web sight. Also anyone that hires her are going to have to remember this.

They have a full time employee monitoring their facebook page. They deleted my comment within 60 seconds or so.

agreed, they are there for a reason.

if you want to think i'm racists for stereotypes, then get fucked.:colbert:

If anyone thinks you're racist, they are stereotyping you. What does that say about them?

Oh, and the pastor is an unforgiving bitch, for getting the waitress fired.

She bought a party of 8 with her to Applebees and she doesn't want to leave a $6 tip? wow.

I've been in a party of 30 at Fishbone's and the tip combined with the bill was through the roof.

I had no problem tipping, either. 1 girl served our entire table and made sure we had drinks and fresh bread the whole time we were there. She even comp'd us for a dish of Gumbo that the kitchen ran out of while the cooks were getting our orders together. Instead of the Gumbo, she let us try some Alligator.

Haha, Applebee's Facebook page is at 3,824,132 likes and dropping every time you hit reload. Wonder what it was before this circus?

They put a post up 10 min ago and it has like 1500 nasty comments in it. They're looking to keep it in one spot now.

Make your voices heard.

If I wrote something like that to a waitress I think I'd deserve it.

You simply don't do that. Everyone knows that being a waitress is a shitty job unless you get lucky and work at the Palms. Applebees? They're making minimum wage. Less if you get a stupid customer like this pastor.

Here's something interesting that I've never noticed before. If you type in applebees you can see how many people are talking about it. Maybe it's because the number is so big that I actually noticed.

Over 180,000 people.

i agree the "pastor" was a bitch.

Saying that the waitress broke company rules, and did something very stupid. I have no trouble with her getting fired.

how much she makes has nothing to do with the story either.

That's not saying a lot though. I'd rather eat McDonald's over just about any 3star or less restaurant.

The customer is a biatch. Complaining that the waitress posted the pic and ruined her reputation?

Cmon now, what ruined your reputation was you being a holier-than-thou, spiteful biatch, and the internet just made it possible to show lots of people this fact, faster.

If Applebee's really wanted to look good, they would have given the waitress the 18% gratuity that that bitch crossed out.

People should swarm her "church" - crowd out the regular attendees. Then, when the collection plate comes around, "no thanks."

(I believe that comes from the part of the Bible that says "an eye for an eye.")

It doesn't make much sense to write down something like that and then express surprise that it was shared with others. And in this day and age, you have to allow for the possibility it will find its way onto the internet.

If the pastor's reputation took a hit, it was because of what she wrote; not because of the way it was posted on reddit. She could have limited the damage by agreeing she had made a mistake. Instead, she's made it an order of magnitude worse for herself by getting the waitress fired. The combination of holier-than-thou and vengeful are pretty unattractive.

Applebees deleted all the comments and this is what they posted:

"We wish this situation hadn't happened. Our Guests’ personal information – including their meal check – is private, and neither Applebee’s nor its franchisees have a right to share this information publicly. We value our Guests’ trust above all else. Our franchisee has apologized to the Guest and has taken disciplinary action with the Team Member for violating their Guest’s right to privacy."

The entire reason they are backing down is because she's associated with a church most likely. They don't want to fight God.
