I dont watch south park, but a laundry hole, also commonly called a laundry chute is a tube that older homes had that connected upper story bathrooms to the basement laundry area. Guess the joke is if taking pants off to sit backwards, just dump your pants to the laundry.

I've only ever seen one laundry-hole in a bathroom . . . but it was a house bathroom , not a public facility. You stuff your soiled apparel down it, and it falls into the basement. Yay. Lands not far from the washing machine and dryer.

It's common to see that in movies and I guess cartoons too. I think it used to be common in the 1930s to 1950s.

The house I grew up in had a laundry chute. It had openings in the master bedroom closet and the kitchen closet. I don't know where the clothes ended up though.
