I almost made this thread last week.
Differences:
1. Boss/Owner so passive the co-workers shove the work to me/my department
2. Pay is not good at all.
3. My second interview with another company went well last week![]()

i hate my job so much... every day it just seems to get worse and worse. my co-workers are a-holes, my boss has the biggest ego out of anyone i've ever met.
I'll admit that my job isnt really that hard and I do get paid pretty well, but sometimes i feel like it's not even worth the money. my boss uses money as a justification. i seriously feel that he pays well so he can treat you any way he wants. and if you disagree, he has no problem telling you that you are easily replaceable and he can probably hire someone to do the same job for less money (which is bullsh!t). He just has a way of putting you down and ruining your day/week.
I get blamed for things that i didnt do. if something goes wrong, my boss (also the owner of the company) immediately puts the blame on me. In other job experiences, my bosses have always jumped to defend me or be on my side, but this guy is such a tool
anyone ever been in a situation like this? i've been at this place for over 2 years and I am starting to look for another job now.
every monday is such a drag.. i always seem to have a pretty good weekend out with friends, family etc and when i come back to work it's such a downer and the week always goes by so slow

Find a new job but don't quit this one until you've found another. It's always easier to find a job when you already have one.

Um, isn't that what he is suppose to do? I mean your not working there out of your love for menial labor.

He probably does pay more then average to make up for his attitude. That is also the right thing to do. He is being hurt financialy because he is an @ss. Because he understands this he will be able to continue to do that. it is a dang site better then working for an @ss that pays bad. And the thing is, he probably CAN find someone else to do the same job you do for less money, they would probably not stick around for long, but he can find them. So he pays you well, so you will put up with his sh1t.
Isn't capitalism great!

sounds like you don't stand up for yourself, and let people walk all over you. this will happen at your new job.

I do stand up for myself. It's just that I don't feel that I should have to constantly be put in the situation to defend myself over and over again, especially to my boss -someone who I feel should be on my side more often than not.
This whole office is pretty fvcked up really. One worker refuses to learn anything new and will only do things the old way, or will have someone else do it the new way for her. Another co-worker constatnly calls in sick or with stupid excuses like "my cat turned off my alarm last night" She oftentimes comes in smelling like alcohol, like on a wednesday morning  also, whenever my boss comes into the building for the day, she pages all of our outside salesmen so they will call her back and she will look busy. Another employee complains about everything.. from office equipment, to her life, to her computer, to money.. and on top of that she comes in smelling like marijuana sometimes..
i feel like i'm on a twisted reality show or something (cliche, i know)

You have three choices as I see it.
1) Go see a lawyer and have a good talk. Start recording your confrontations in preparation of a law suit against the jerk for harrassment.
2) Get another job, then tell your boss to piss off.
3) A combination of 1) and 2). Sue the jerk then quit!
