I'm halfway through the semester and my semicoductor physics class just tore me a new asshole. I really need to get on the ball, anyone found themselves in a similar situation? Is there anything like a Shaum's Outline for Semiconductor/solid-state devices? Any good Web sites?

Just go to class and take down some good notes.

Can always borrow classmates notes or speak to the professor, they always have office hours where you can come in and talk to them.

oh that kinda sucks that you got one of the guys that wrote the book.
i heard he basically teaches verbatim from the book.

see if you can get some old tests from IEEE

i had kwong for 339, fear of him asking you questions in class made sure you learned your sh1t. the good thing is that he wasnt real creative during tests/homework, so if you got previous years tests and studied them you did ok.

did you try the half price books on guadalupe for schaum's outlines?

good luck

I had Kwong too. Kwong's tests are harder than banerjee's but more of his tests floating around. I had the misfortune of taking Kwong's oral final. That sucked hardcore.

anyways, I would also suggest looking in the SWE office in ECJ, they have a smaller but less well known test bank so some might be still there.

339 for banerjee shouldn't be too bad. Banerjee doesn't throw you a loop and give you questions that wasn't fully covered typically. I had him for 440.

Also, if you can't find old tests, try to get with somebody who can.

sometimes around your 5th semester, you realize you don't want to tackle a class by yourself.

study groups really help.
