I hate these suckers with a passion.

Funny story though:

Was at my brother-in-laws apartment and we spotted one of the critters on the ceiling. My BIL is a 6'6" 240lbs mountain man looking type. Fearless and dumb, a dangerous combination. Well he looks at it and quickly decides to smash it, he missed his crushing attempt and the thing jumped off the ceiling, and into the collar of his shirt. The resulting shreiks were the most girly thing I have ever heard.

I watched and laughed as he started pummeling himself to crush the bug.

Good stuff.

My wife and I had a bunch of silverfish after moving into our new place a year and a half ago. Turned out there was a small leak in the upstairs bathroom shower plumbing that was dripping into the subfloor below and damaging the drywall beneath. Once I fixed all of that, I also noticed the silverfish stopped showing up. My understanding is that they thrive in moist environments, and that the best way to deal with them is to remove the source of moisture!

Bugs? At this time of year?

Have not seen a single bug in my basement or outside for at least 6 months. 😛

What the hell is that???

aka Potato Bug. It basically looks like a giant ant and can give a nasty bite. I found one on my doorstep one day at my old residence. It moves pretty slowly so I just nudged it aside and closed my door as fast as possible.
