When I woke up for school today, I heard a bunch of scratching other noise in our skylight windows. It was a little bird about 6 inches long that scared the hell outta me at first. I have no idea how it got inside our house. Damn, this bird was stupid, it was flying all over the house and running into windows and walls. After awhile of this annoying bird, I caught it with a laundry basket and went to school. Its just chillin in the basket right now because I don't really feel like setting it free, at least not yet. My parents would probably wanna cook it or make soup outta it(im asian)Any ideas?

To get a bird in your house and let it go is good luck. The bird is an ancestor.

Happens all the time at my house....they get into the Laundry room somehow and just fly around and make tons of noise. The ones we hear we set free but a lot of the time they die before we notice that there is one in there.

Well the right thing to do is set it free or take to your local RSPCA.

Ok, here is what you do!

Get a big spatula and set it on the table. Then wait for the bird to land on the spatula. When it does, quickly flip the spatula up.

You've just been flipped the bird! :)

Yes I have an idea that you should have let it go this morning. If it's not dead when you get home then you should set it free then.

Birds always fly in our old wood stove downstairs via the chimney (which we never use, it's more for "decoration."

All I do is put garbage bag in front and open the door slightly to catch it.

Put a tag saying "Anandtech" on its leg and set it free. If it ever comes back into your house,
eat it:)

hey moonbeam what kind of luck is it to find a dead bird on the balcony. I guess it must be bad. I was kinda freaked, poor thing. Overclockers have feelings too.....

hummingbirds used to get stuck in out garage. we'd open the garage door and they'd still be too dumb to fly out. so we'd chase it with a broom. once it got stuck in the broom, but it was fine and flew away when we shook the broom.
