I format did 1 low level format and still no go....

What happens when you try to install an OS? You have partioned and formatted right?

Dont ever do a low level format! They come already low level formatted. You might not even get your an RMA since you probaly vialated your warranty.

What do you mean, never do a low level format?? I am confused why doing this would invalidate your warranty?

had win2k on it for approx 1 month tried to install win2k errors win98 errors like missing files for both. no damage/drop i did a format c: /u on it i didnt do a low level format i downloaded some western digital diagnostic tools for later on tonite. To format i did fdisk delete partition restart make new partition format try to install no go..

and D/L clearhdd.exe to your boot floppie, use it to clean up the disk cause you have a installer overlay in your boot sector that will prevent your installing that OS.
