After many years of praying, burning candles, and voodoo dancing m finnaly on the broadband bus....and its fantastic.... now the installation went a little to easy for my liking  all i had to do was to plug the cable modem to my puter and that was it... no software to install or drivers 😕 i did get a software disk from cox communications..... do i need to install it? also are there any tweaks besides installing and running drtcp to improve download/upload speeds???

Thank you!
Kaspian

If you are using a router then you most likely don't need to install the software CD.

And I personally don't like Dr. TCP/IP, whenever I used JackMDS' recommended settings my response time went wayy up.

Have fun! 🙂

speedguide.net has some tweaks yu can try, but really go to bandwidthplace.com/speedtest and do the test if it is close enough to your speed (and so is a donwload from a quick site like download.com) then don't worry about anything.
