Last March, when I moved in with my current two roommates, one of them accused me of being extremely anti-social and addicted to online games. This was because I preferred to spend my free time relaxing, enjoying an MMO.
Fast forward to the present. I helped the same roommate build a speedy A64 Venice based system. Shortly thereafter, he bought copies of WoW and HL2. Now, as soon as he comes home from work(we all work evenings), he locks(no lie, LOCKS) himself in his room and plays WoW/CS:S until after sunrise. This occurrs 7 days a week, every week, for the last two months.
I leave the apartment on the weekends, usually to go see the latest movies or browse the DVDs/books at the local BB/Borders/Barnes and Noble. He doesn't, just plays WoW.
I find it very ironic and very amusing, in no small part, because when anyone confronts him about it; He comes back in a surly, onery manner, telling them to mind their own business, etc, etc. Very touchy individual, you almost don't want to talk to him for fear of setting him off.
Yet, naturally, he still tells everyone at work that I'm the anti-social, alcoholic, who never leaves the apartment. 😛
