I find it hard to take people with the nerd avatar seriously

This discussion makes me wonder: Do you know of anybody on AT with a significant amount of posts who has changed their avatar mid-stream? When I signed up 5 years ago, I had no clue that I'd end up sticking around for more than a couple weeks. If I had, I might have put serious thought into my avatar choice, but as it was, I just chose something without much deliberation. But now that so much time has passed, it's pretty impossible to think of changing avatars. Not saying I'm not happy with my avatar, though. But anyway, I'm just wondering if anybody has made an avatar switch after building up a significant "identity" with a different avatar.

I use the telephone because no one else uses it so I can scroll as fast as I want down the page and find my post so I know where I can start reading.
