I went back to the bike shop which had the Giant Ranier, Specialized RockHopper Comp, and Cannondale F500.
The salesman was awesome and spent 1.5 hours teaching me stuff! He even said to drop by and he would take me on a 1 hour biking lesson!
The Cannondale dropped in price from when I went 2 weeks ago! It is the 2000 model but it used to retail for $1350cdn but it was now selling for $800! That's $550 off the original price! He explained to me that the bike never got any interest for some reason and they are not selling Cannondale anymore. He said they can still service the headshock and everything though. I bit and bought it! He measure me and he said it was a good match for me considering I have long legs. He replaced the handlebar with one that rises so my elbows aren't locked when in riding position.
So after taxes and new handlebars it came to ~$915cdn which is below my budget (and I was planning on spending $1300 when I walked into the
store).
He said to bring it in after 2 weeks worth of riding and he would give me a free tune up to fix any growing pains.
It has the CAAD3 aluminum frame which is still awesome and has a lifetime warranty. I hope to have pictures of it sometime next week.
Thanks for all the help you guys! I love my new bike and remember that everyone one of you helped me get this beauty!
