To me, playing that first level in prince of persia is like how it would be for some of you if you played a video game where you are a japanese pilot attacking Pearl Harbor.

Uhh.. I am willing to bet half the ATOTers plays BF 1942, happily play as the Axis, and don't even think about it.

Panzers are the bomb

I don't. I switch teams and get pretty upset if the server has auto balance. I guess it does matter to me in some small way.

and these days its the viet cong, not the axis. 😛 the only problem i have playing the enemy is having to steal the m60 off dead bodies.

Yes, the media has desensitized everyone. Death, sex, and homosexuality are acceptable forms of nightly entertainment.

Yeah what a world we live in where we can see a homosexual without tying a noose.

I remember something about Flight Sim that used to be able to crash into buildings, but they took that part out.

How about GTA:Israel? You play a warlord who sent out bombers.... now that's kind of offensive.

My friend was playing that Flight Sim game in Radio Shack, then he crashed the plane into the WTC in the NYC level (this was after 9/11). The salesman saw this and started screaming at my friend 😀.

Is GTA Israel a real game or did you just make that up?

You're friend is a dumb asshat! You both need to grow up!

I disagree. I play Battlefield all the time, and I am well aware of the implications, but seriously, the average solider was just a soldier and it is just a game.

Can I suggest you play the song "Cry me a River" by your fav artist Justin Timberlake?

I agree. Any kind of action game that has ANY basis in history is bound to offend someone. So get the hell over it already, I say.

There's too much damned political correctness around, and it exists because everyone's afraid to offend anybody, even at the cost of common sense.

like I said I'd never slap a lawsuit down on the developers...just makes me a little peeved about the game...as long as your not slaughtering Hindus throughout the game I can probably get through it.

It blows my mind that you would even think about bringing up a lawsuit against a VIDEO GAME maker. It's a video game. If you don't like it, quit playing it. Like 42 other people have said, we play Desert Combat all the time, and I take much joy in sneaking up behind an American bastard who is laying on my factory roof with a 50 cal and slitting his throat with my knife. Then when he is watching me in death cam I will spray his dead body with bullets and jump up and down on his corpse.

Get over it.

the game sucked - poor camera movement and limited saves made the experience really bad for me. I quit after about 25% of the game was completed.

awwwww, do u need ur mommy to give u a huggle?

😛 grow up, at this rate u'll develop ulcers before u're 25

I used to play the nazis when I was into Day of Defeat. Do I think the nazis were cool or did I feel bad playing on teh nazi side? No, the nazi side had the awesome sniper rifle and there was little choice!

I played Prince of Persia for PC. What an awesome game! Everything was so polished. The voice acting was great, the models were great, the levels were very beautiful and fun. Plus they captured the ability to swing and leap perfectly. At the beggining it was a little difficult, but I quickly felt myself getting better and better and by the end of the game I felt like a damned monkey who could climb anything.

It was almost like they made a game and then had a movie director come in to make the whole thing flow smoothly.

*sigh* fond memories.

Oh and as far as video games offending me. I will say that I don't think I've ever been offended by video games. You could have a game where you fly a plane into wtc and it wouldn't offend me. It is hard for me to explain why. Part of me thinks video games are the best ways to do things such as recreate historical events and experience the impossible. The other part seperates games from reality to such an extent that it wouldn't offend me to any degree.

I will say that I stopped playing manhunt due to the graphic violence and that is the first time that has ever happened. It wasn't so horrible, but the first time that I killed a guy with a baseball, the sound of his head splattering, brain matter hitting the wall, the spray, it just made me feel gross. It was like, I could kill a 5 guys with the bat and then I was like "ok I really don't want to do this again". Some of the other weapons weren't bad though, like the plastic bag, they just got boring after awhile. Anytime a game has a huge cutscene per kill, it slows it into boredom.

SINNER!

That game was one of the best games to come out in a long long long time and had to have been one of the most fun games to play in ages.

There is a reason that game won awards everywhere.. it was simply amazing.

Fluid camera, amazing action, fun storyline/talking during the game, cool atmosphere, great moves.

I think you just suck at games. It's the only reason someone would not like that masterpiece.

Finished it and thought it was ok. It kept true to the original form which was very repetitive. Wasn't really impressed with anything. Way over hyped but at least it still has a good resell value.
