I would never do that with someone else.

Kind of makes me feel worthless though. He did not even care I died. I care when I step on a spider.

They're going to send condolences offers to your family, so they can get XM at a discounted rate.

I remember when I was in high school one of my buddies said a telemarker called for his dad, and he told them his dad got ran over by a train (not true of course). Hahaha.

When I canceled my XM awhile ago they offered me free service for a little longer but I just kindly said "no thank you" and they did it.

Wasn't like pulling teeth or anything.

I was taking my XM Radio off of my sisters account as I no longer really use it. I have heard that the XM CSRs try really hard to make you keep your subscription (put you on hold, offer 3 months free, do this and that..etc..).
So when he asked why I wanted to cancel, I told him Justin (me) was dead.
There was a silence and then he said okay and took it off and that was it. less than 1 minute.

I feel bad though. Death is not funny. Especially mine. Am I an ass for doing that?

I love your sense of humor. The last choice in your poll rocks.

As far as your original post, don't sweat it. It's not like it's an omen or anything. :Q

Now you've done it. An XM satellite is going reenter the atmosphere to crash into your car and kill you dead.

My grandma used to get several calls a day from telemarketers. I told just to say that you're dead. She was pretty keen on that idea and wanted me to do it, but I had put her on the list by that time and she hasn't had a telemarketer call her while I have been there since. I still really want to do it though. Maybe mention that the old girl should have known better than to use a wood chipper and follow that up if they sell products that can get out blood stains, I mean like really big blood stains, and does it matter if it's say dog blood or human?

This reminds of the movie Leon. When Mathilda receives a phone call from the school asking about her. "She is dead" and hangs up.

Dude, people lie to their doctors, their priests, their family and loved ones...this ranks up there with forgetting to walk your dog one evening.

My dad always did that with telemarketers when I was younger. He's tell them we all died in a tragic car accident. Always made me lawl.

Except people feel sad for the dog.
