Ohhh Canada, to me you were so wonderful, oh Canada, to me you were so good....

uh, no wait, that's "Oh My Papa" 😉

Uh...if she was invited and knew about it ahead of time why didn't she go practice/read over it a few times? How idiotic.

I don't expect every Canadian to know the US's national anthem, but you'd think that any paid professional who is about to get their big break by singing in front of millions of people live and on TV would take the trouble to know what they're there to do.

With that said, I'd cut her some slack because I think she knew the words the minute before she sung, but she got stage fright and her mind went blank. I hate being on stage and having people watch me.

eh, she got her her 15 minutes of fame out of the deal. she's been on a bunch of talk shows and news programs since this escapade. if she would have sang it perfectly we wouldn't even have known she existed.

also, i think she looked like a big baby for leaving and not finishing the song after she feel on her ass. i would've bucked up and finished the song and then clapped for myself or something when i was done. sometimes you gotta laugh at yourself when sh#t happens.

That happens. SOme people get so nervous on big events like that, they can't help it. It's like that one Asain girl on AMerican idol that for 2 stright weeks can't remember her song lyrics and was booted off right away. It happenes.

oh say can you see
by the dawn's early light
what so proudly we hailed
at the twilights last gleaming
who's broad stripes and bright stars
to the perilous fight
for the rampart we watch
were so gallantly streaming
and the rockets red glare
the most bursting in air
gave proof through the night
that our flag was still there
oh say does that star spangled banner yet wave
for the land of the free
and the home of the brave

How did I do? Oooh, it's O'er, nor For. Whatever, I learned it through sporting events anyway.
