Thats a shame. I know a guy who went on permament disability because his migraines were so bad. Thats a shame. Hope things work out.

I have chronic migraines as well, but the days missed are reduced to 2-3 days a month with Imitrex. I've never heard of Zomig though, but if its the same physical drug I can tell you that it truly does work..

Kranky- I'm not sure what that entails. It's something I haven't heard of and was going to discuss with her doc.

The one surgery she had (twice) required the insertion of a microwave probe into the vicinity of the Occipital Ganglia and bombarding it with microwaves to try and deaden/kill it. For some unknown reason it didn't help. The doc doesn't undstand why...

Zomig is a sister drug of Sumitriptan (imitrex).

Sorry, I forgot to say that I feel very sorry for you man. I hope there can be a cure...my experiences with Imitrex are obviously better than hers, but obviously my migraine condition is nowhere near as bad as hers.

My mom has the same thing and she hasn't worked for like 10 years because of them and she has tried all of the above medicines and just waits until they come out with something new. If something does work for her, it usually only works for a month and then her body adapts to the medicine and it no longer works. Her neurologist tries everything he knows also.

Sorry man.

ADA,

american disabilities act

she qualifies, as her migraines limit one or more major life activities, they cannot fire her as long as they can make reasonable accommodations for her, and in her case it's pie. they cannot fire her. email me if you are incredulous, I'll try and dig up more facts, or seek out the advice of a practicing I/O (Industrial Organization) psychologist.

CTR - a doctor ever suggest estrogen supplements to your wife?

EA- I hope this works out, all the best to you and your wife while you both find a way of limiting the impact of her migraines.
