i got a new blackberry storm and this thing is magic. I barely need to think for myself anymore. Whats the point of having a memory if everything you need to remember can be instantly accessed through a single wireless device. How long until these things are wired straight to our brains?

I guess ill just half to kill myself. If my blackberry goes so do I. Then my family can sue verizon and everyone wins(cause I only faked my death and now I can pay a butler to do everything the blackberry does and more cause it will be a sexy female butler)

Google is already my second brain. I don't have to remember details, just the proper search terms. Is this a form of laziness, I wonder? Or does it give vital insight into the way our brains work and remember information?

For example, one way to remember something is to link it to something else. I.E., to remember someone's name, link it to something outrageous about them.

It seems human memory is all about the connections between details. Now, if the connection web has a link to an outside source like Google/the Internet, its capacity could be greatly increased since all the details don't have to be saved - just the method of retrieving them.

Brain data-compression via webhosting ...
