Still using a 19" Samsung 955DF CRT that puts out more heat in my room than the furnace...will remain that way until I can justify spending god-knows-how-much on a decent 19" LCD

Nope... I've not yet.

Two Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 900u 's (19") and a Samsung Syncmaster 900p (19").

You can have my Mitsubishi Precise Point 21" (Diamond Pro with Microtouch touch screen) when you can pry it out of my hands (or lift it off the desk without a forklift).

I wanted an LCD for a while but now I'm starting to feel otherwise. Until I see one that really wows me with better than CRT picture I probably won't spend the money.

Except maybe for a second smaller display.

My 19" KDS started to act-up after 2 1/2 years an I decided to buy an LCD after my KDS dies but I called KDS and they sent me another 19"er.

I guess that just gives me more time to find that "hot deal".

i don't think they're worth the money.

i have a big, honking Sony 19" CRT (G400) at home. i'll
get another CRT if it dies within a year or two.

when they make an lcd that can do 1920x1440, i'll think about it. Hell, 1600x1200 is hard to find

21" IBM P260 - 1920x1440@75

no, I will never be buying an LCD. Just can't beat the picture of a good CRT.

lay off the crack pipe buddy...

I've owned sgi 1600sw, del 2000fp and now dell 2001fp and they all kick ass in terms of image crispness and color. The 1600sw was a 17in monitor with 16000x1200 native res. Show me a 17 in CRT that can do that and we'll talk...

we have a 17in Hitachi CRT that does 1600x1200 @ 75Hz

only cost 189$ from newegg

My PC has no video card. I'm straining my eyes at a 15" LCD's crawlies right now.
I'll be glad to get back to my CRT.

LCD is still inferior to CRT as far as picture quality is concerned. I'll personally buy an LCD when a good 19" or higher with 1600x1200 resolution becomes more affordable. Until then, I won't mind lugging my 55lb G420S around.

Absolutly, not only do you stay at one resolution, but your new LCD could have Bright, dead pixels in the middle of your screen and not be considered defective.
I'll stay with a CRT, thanks.
