Okay I have a problem. This girl and I have been talking for about 2 weeks. I have known her for awhile now but we never really started talking until now. We already have plans to go to a concert in December.

She's so cool and pretty but my one friend gave me a call today..........

He asked me to do him a big favor. He said "Please don't try to get with her b/c she's the only girl I care about."

I already talked to her about it right when we started talking and she said that she doesn't like him like that and stuff.

So basically it's friend or girl........what do you think?
 
How close of friends are you with this guy?

Does he have any idea that he doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell with her?

it all depends on what matters more to you...generally, if he is a friend that has been around, a true friend, then its really wrong to go after a girl he is into, even if she isn't into him. But, on the other hand, if this girl means alot to you, and the guy is just someone you know, maybe its worth it for the sake of being with someone special.

The truth is one or the other, and you are the only one who can decide what is more important.

well it's a matter of how much either one means to you. if it was a good friend, and i wasn't particularly attached to the girl, i would just back off... i wouldn't want to cause my friend grief just to get some pussy

No, it doesn't have to be friend or girl! Stop creating a false dichotomy!

How about both of you compete for the same position? The winner gets the girl, and you still get to remain friends. If not, then maybe the supposed friend wasn't worth the friendship anyway if he can't deal with his loss.

If, on the other hand, you aren't extremely interested in the girl and your friend's often had bad luck with girls, then let him try his luck first. If it fails for him, then you can do what you want.
