I feel like a God...

...because I just played through the presto section of the Bach WTC C Minor Prelude flawlessy 6 times through, and the rest of it went well too, the fugue I also played well. Then, I played the Schubert Impromptu in E flat at tempo through beautifully, near-flawless. So, right now I feel like fvckin god. 🙂 If only I can do this at competition...I'm preparing both the Prelude & Fugue and the Impromptu for the Illinois Art and Music Festival Competition on July 13. Pianists from all over the midwest will be there competing against me, and I'm the youngest performer.[/GIDDY EXCITEMENT AND NERVOUSNESS RAMBLING]

I've been working on this stuff for a couple months, and now it's crunch time. The competition is in a few weeks, and I'm supposed to be practicing 5 hours day. I'm not, but I'm supposed to be. 🙂

I'm getting about as much as I usually do, 2 hours a day give or take.

You feel like a God. I'd probably feel like one too if I could hear you play. Where's the Anandtech sound button.

I'd email you a recording, but I don't own any recording equipment. 🙁

And the mic on my computer is useless because the computer is in a different part of the house than the computer. (I'm in the basement, it's upstairs.)

That didn't happen to be the competition on Geneva, did it?

My sister competed in that.

nevermind, wrong competition...

<< i bet all the time was worth it >>

Well, hold up. The competition hasn't happened yet.🙂 It's july 13. Hopefully, though, that's what I'll be saying then.

<< Want to give me lessons? >>

If you live in the Chicago area, far west suburbs preferably, then actually, I am starting to give piano lessons to beginners this summer.🙂

<< Was this the one in Geneva? >>

No, that's Swedish Days. I competed in that when I was younger.

Last night on PBS on a program called To the Best of Our Knowledge there was a facinating interview with Russell Sherman on why it takes more than fingers to play the piano.

Piano is such a wonderful instrument... I have one sitting in this room, although I'm not much of a player. I'd love to hear you play 🙂
