For some reason, this feeling of guilt just dropped on me like a lead blanket.
I was running an errand earlier today; just pulled out of my apartment complex and was heading up the street to the main road.
I noticed some kids standing in the street, holding up some signage. I slowed down to a crawl so as to not entrap them under the wheels of my truck. This slow speed allowed me to read their signs.
They said:
I noted a child on the sidewalk standing next to a cooler, which I assumed held said popsicles.
I vividly remembered my lemonade stand I operated as a child...as I drove up the block and didn't stop and buy anything.
I felt guilty and ran my errands, but decided I'd buy a popsicle on the way back.
When I got back, they were gone.
I am now riddled with guilt.
What can I do to remedy this guilt?
Discuss.
