i called apple tech support (applecare) for my broken superdrive, and holy crap, hands down they are the best tech support ive ever called. 100% american, CS that always know what they're doing/talking about, and hardly any wait times (at least during the times ive called).

Someone is a little defensive about living in the basement

Well, when you finally get to move upstairs after your sister moved out to get married, you tend to have a chip on your shoulder.....after all, your movin' on up & you should be treated as such.

Here is my bedroom as of now! That picture is a few months old, I think.

http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/4876/panovu2.jpg

What do people think of the new bling on my dresser doors?

I think you should put back the original knobs and return your dad's screwdriver before your parents find out. Besides, they have nicer children's dressers that all your sister's girlfriends will become jealous of during her play dates! How did you end up with that dresser?

Edit: Change your sheets! You can actually see the stains and discoloration!

There were no original knobs, my mother bought this thing at a garage sale. (It's o-l-d) My screw driver >_< Unfortunately all my tools are in storage :'( I have to borrow sometimes, but not my screw drivers. :D I don't have a sister. I needed a dresser, this was in the garage because my mother bought it during a sale or something, and I figured, "Hmm, it's been here for at least a few weeks and she hasn't done anything with it... MINE!" So I had to move the fucking thing all by myself with a broken wrist and a near broken other. That, was painful... (This thing weighs too much for its quality) Anyway... Mine now... My mother has too much old shit already.

I don't know how old they are, not very. :-/ Maybe one/two years old? It is just faded(not stained) where I lay... It's not anything surprising from crappy/cheap sheets. I am getting a queen sized bed and new sheets when I move into the new home; happy? (Hm... What color to get...)

Is that what happened? I guess he couldn't move that awesome dresser he'd been fawning over since he was a baby. All he had to do was put some bling on it and SHAZZAM he has complex and interesting furniture to prattle on about to all his womenz... or he was to weak to move it.

Moving on up.....to the attic?

:music: to that deluxe apartment...in the skyyy!! :music:

Sorry, couldn't resist there... :p

Anyway, this is a pretty common problem with laptop support. I could be snarky and say "this is why I got a mac", but I'm not naive enough to not know that they have problems too. It is simply in the nature of more integrated and portable devices. So,

1) Where did you purchase said laptop? BestBuy, CC, HP.com, Newegg, etc?
2) Is the power connection simply not working, cracked, or loose?
3) Whatever it is, take pics. If it is something noticeable, then this can go a long way in dealing w/ tech support if they can actually SEE the damage over email.
4) How are the voltage readouts? Are you familiar with the use of a multimeter to test this?

5) Edit your original reply to end your bold tag. Seriously, our eyes hurt.
