I.E. 6 Addons under W2000 Pro

I am running Windows 2000 Pro with all updates. I am running I.E. 6 with all its updates. I am also running Firefox as primary browser.
Problem is that I can't see what the addons in IE are. I can't get Active-X connected or turned on. I was trying to download the Microsoft Internet Monitor when it said Active X isn't turned on. I.E. is not in Start or the Program Files.
