I felt like a 5 year old behind the wheel today. I was doing really stupid stuff.
After dropping my dad off at work, I went home and as I was going home I drove on the other side of the road to turn into the driveway and almost hit a car that was backing out.
I was gonna pick up the gf to watch a movie and didn't want to be late, so I rushed out of the house. As I was going, I was tailgating this old pickup truck driver and he slowed down to 20 in a 35 zone, he was pissed. So I sped off into another lane and kept going, while the guy speeds up to catch up to me. I was pretty much scared for my life because he was cutting lanes and catching up to me. I thought he was gonna throw something at my car if he got close enough.
Later on I almost hit an old lady because I had no stop sign and my head told me it was the right of way for me. That was real stupid.
Then I had to go to an ATM to get some cash. The closest one was on a busy street. After I parallel parked to get a spot, I thought a car in front of me wanted that spot, but they didn't signal. So I got out of the spot and hit it in reverse to give them room to take the spot. I started waving "sorry." It just so happens they didn't really want the spot. So I went forward again and backed up to take the spot. Had to keep going back and forth because the spot was small and I screwed up as I was going in. Some guy looked at me like I was a tard and I jay walked the busy street to get to the ATM. The only thing that was going on in my head was, "What if I get hit by a car I can't see, I guess I'll just be another dead Darwin idiot."
After I got my cash I U-Turned on the busy street. Almost hit a car.
After I picked up my girlfriend I drove safe the rest of the night.
I hope to never drive so idiotic ever again. Most of the time I'm a really safe driver, but I can be a total wreck once in a while.
