I wouldn't personally sand the edge, wouldn't that just risk making it worse?
The real clincher is 1) if the shock broke anything internally (it looks to have been quite the impact) and 2) how far in those pcb layers were separated. The actual corner doesn't have any traces in it, those start further in. There are no guarantees here, but I'd say it will probably work.
