To those that knew me in high school, I thank you for dragging me to my prom.

I know its kinda empty to say this but I did enjoy it and it did produce memories for me that will never die.
Although it is expensive, its worth going to your prom just so you can see you did go and enjoy iy. Your a senior so enjoy this time before you have togo to the real world and trudge it out.

yes everyone looks corney and dumb but its kinda funny. Also spend a little more money and get a quality tux. Cheap ones are utter crap.
AND YOU WILL BE PRESSURED to get a date and at the end you will get one. I'm willing to bet money on it.
Money is a relative thing. Its worth teh cahs I spent. and I spent a whole damn lot.
Refer to what I said above. Everyone lookds dumb.

Just go to your Prom and enjoy it for what its worth. A place to remember your senior year.

Don't go. I don't regret not going. And I'm pretty sure I would regret had I gone.

If all it is is not liking groups, then by all means do it. I did nothing outside of school until midway through my Jr year when a couple of friends basically dragged me to our school's "Winter Gala" (halfway between Homecoming and Prom) on the basis of "If you go you'll find out it's fun". I owe a lot to those friends who forced me to go. I'm still not a very social person, but I definately have a lot more fun now. No-one looks bad in a Tux, unless you rent the $40 special, and no matter how badly you dance (or even if you don't) you can still have a great time. Go, have fun. You will have to deal with large groups eventually, might as well start with one in which everyone looks stupid dancing. :) From one hermit to another, go, I regret that I only had fun the last year and a half of HS, as a freshman in college now I look back at all the time I wasted by refusing to go to dances and the like.

Here's your SAFEST bets, either way...

If you DON'T go
No big deal. I skipped my Junior Prom and don't regret it. And I could've done WITHOUT going to the Senior Prom (then again, I had a rocky relationship on the outs with the girl I went with)

If you DO go
Who cares about the dance part, BIG DEAL! The goods is the fun afterwards! Party time.

Go, don't go, it's all good.

Aren't most proms in the spring, near graduation? A lot can change between now and then, dont spend time worrying about it now! Just chill and see how you feel later!

I had a lot more fun at my after prom party than at the actual prom. If your school has one of those events, then skip the prom and go to the party afterwards.
