I Don't Understand Why...

So the other other night when we sat down for dinner, I caught my 5 year old digging for gold in his nose. He then quickly shoved the booger in his mouth before I had a chance to stop him. You would have thought he was eating a piece of fine chocolate by the way he was relishing that thing.

Then of course when I put the food in front of him, he just picked at it. What's that about?

I never understood why kids do that. The thought always made me want to barf when I was a kid, like 4, 5, 6, and it makes me wanna barf now.

What the fucking hell is wrong with people?

I pick my nose, and I certainly relish it, but only in private, and I don't fucking eat it.

Fucking repulsive.

I did for a while when I was 3-4. I didn't really know what it was other than that it came out of my nose, and I thought it tasted good. As simple as that. Most of mine were also dry/solid, not the liquidy/semi-solid stuff I get now that my sinuses have developed.

Well given the subject of the thread... :)

I also never understood why other kids got grossed out by that stuff. (That said, I never tried scab eating in particular because pulling off scabs.. well... hurt) Then again, I was the kid scaring all of the girls in the class with rubber spiders and such. Used to get in trouble with the teacher at Halloween. Ah, fun times. *lapses into nostalgic trance*

One of my few day care memories is seeing a kid eat some Chap Stick.
I tried it after that... eh.

Tell me about it.

I have a three year old granddaughter that thinks I'm her own personal concierge/chef and a one year old that now refuses to eat anything she can't pick up for herself. I keep asking my daughter if I kill them can she make more.

btw-see pics in sig. Yeah, they're too cute to kill.
