there's a few things that go down..... but some things i'm a bit confused over

-Xypher Dias (mind my spelling) ordered a clone army 10 years ago for the Republic but without authorization of the senate, why?
-Jengo Fett is the host for the clones which are being made for the Republic but Jengo himself is part of the Federation (the bad guys) so why is Jengo the host?
-Jengo said he was hired by a guy on Tyranis to be the host for clones, does that refer to the Emperor as the man who hired him?
-if the guy on Tyranis hired Jengo to be the host of a clone army then why is Jengo also the host of the Republic clone army?

- My guess is Sypho Dias was NOT the REAL Dias, but rather Lord Tyranus(Count Dooku) under a different name.

- Jango is getting paid. He wants money - and wouldn't care about either side.

- There isn't a "guy on Tyranis". Lord Tyranus is also known as Count Dooku, as Tyranus is Dooku's new Sith name.

Darth/Lord Tyranus (sp?) is Count Dooku. This is revealed in the dialogue between him and the Emperor and possibly earlier.

It's Darth Sidious.

No. The emperor is Darth Sidious, Count Dooku's sith name is Darth Tyrannus. This is made clear when he arrives on Coruscant at the end of the movie.

My guess is that Sifo-Diyas is actually Lord Sidious. And if Sidious turns out to be Palpatine (most people think he is, but I'm waiting for concrete proof just because I'm stubborn), Palpatine would need an army for what he would eventually do (creating the Galactic Empire).

-Jengo Fett is the host for the clones which are being made for the Republic but Jengo himself is part of the Federation (the bad guys) so why is Jengo the host?
Jango was handpicked by Lord Tyranus/Count Dooku for his skills. Another reason Jango is the host is because he wanted a "son."

Tyranus is a person (a.k.a Count Dooku).

-if the guy on Tyranis hired Jengo to be the host of a clone army then why is Jengo also the host of the Republic clone army?
The army was more than likely created by Sidious. Tyranus was probably given responsibility over creating the army, which involved finding the host for the clone army. This is where Jango comes in.

Tyranus is Dooku. He said, "Welcome home, Tyranus", if anything, not "to".

From theforce.net:

Count Dooku - Aka Lord Tyranus, Charismatic Separist,Ex-Jedi Lost Twenty
Actor: Christopher Lee
Count Dooku is a "charismatic separatist". He is one of a group of Jedi known as the "Lost Twenty" who left the order in search of other pursuits. He is in league with Sidious and holds the leash of Jango Fett.

Darth Sidious says "Welcome home, Lord Tyranus."

I thought I remember hearing/reading Lord Tyranus also being called Darth Tyranus at times. Anyway you slice it, it's all Count Dooku. :D

The army was created for the Republic because Sidious/Palpatine's plans call for it. He wants an end to the Republic and wants to rule as emporer, but he needs an army to do so. He couldn't do this out in the open, hence the clone army. Then he gets Dooku to form the separatists to give him a reason to take control of the senate and bring his new army into the light so he can foment his plans to turn the Republic into an Empire under his rule.

As for killing Amidala, that was to gain the support of the Trade Federation for the separatists. They are understandibly pissed off at her from the action in Episode 1.

That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

guessing on my part.....

Because somebody wants to be Emperor. Remember to become a dictator, he needs to create a crisis. Basically, the way I see is, both armies are under the control of one man, the jedi all got dupes.

Yes,but why was it originally - ten years ago - ordered created? I think crystal may be right...

That's just it. Remember, Palpatine's plans went into motion when he got Amidala to put in the vote of no-confidence on the previous supreme chancellor knowing that he could get himself elected, and that was before the clone army was ordered. Palpatine is a patient planner.

I'd just like to know why Vader/Anikin never sent anyone to check on his "family" on Tattonie!?!

I mean his pregnant wife goes missing in the next film, and he never thinks to check on Owen and Beru - and lo and behold, they have a Skywalker living with them - what could be the chances....

Now that is interesting. *thinks a moment* I can't really think of a reason why he wouldn't check there for Padme. It's curious...

Possible spoliers here

I'm not usually one to apologize for Star Wars' plot holes, but the basic concept here is that Darth Sidious (who I am certain is Palpatine and who becomes the emperor in the later episodes) is controlling both sides to create a crisis. As seen in Ep.2, this crisis leads to him already being given "emergency" powers by the Senate (thanks Jar-Jar, you moron). His mastery of the force (albeit the Dark Side) is greater even than Yoda's and he has the ability to forsee the future and to manipulate others into his long-term plans. I believe that Ep.3 will reveal that Sidious is a master chess player (as we saw in Ep.6).
His plot to kill Amidala is pretty obvious, IMO. Do you recall Palpatine's conversation with young Annakin and how he said Annakin could be the most powerful of all the Jedi? And how that conversation played upon Annakin's already growing arrogance? And how about when Palpatine insisted that the Jedi personally protect Amidala? It's obvious that the plot was not to actually kill Amidala as it was put the 2 lovebirds together, something that will hasten Annakin's eventual fall to the Dark Side (much as we may find out later that Annakin's mother's murder was a plot conceived by Darth Sidious).

that is episode 3, this is episode 2 dude lol

i don't understand what you said though, you said Amidala goes missing but she ends up with Owen and Beru. why would that happen per say?

i finaly saw something at the end of Part2 i didn't see before, the chansellor of the Republic is on the deck watching clones be loaded into star destroyers standing next to those guys who tried to kill Amidala in the first Star Wars.... so Dooku was right about them controlling the senate. the motion to grant him full power was granted and since he is under control of Darth Sidius, Darth Sidius now has control of both the Trade Federation AND the Republic due to the motion to grant full power.
fascinating, simply fascinating....

hehe, not to spoil... but PSYWVic was pretty much right on :D

its all Darth Sidious' plot... he just sees anakins potential.. and probably already luke's at this point.. even tho luke doesnt exist yet... well maybe in the sperm form.. but anyways.. its all a part of his REALLY long frickin plan..

and yeah.. all the fighting is just to "smash" down the enemy and trade federation... then the "imperial" army is formed out of what is the republic...

Sypho Dias can't be palpatine because obi-wan said he died 10years ago. 10 years ago was phantom menace. and also, Sypho Dias was a member of the jedi council as the represetative from Kamino said. if i'm guessing right, if you watch episode 1 again and pay attention to the times that obi-wan and Qui-Gon Jinn were in the council room you will see someone who resembles Taun We. i believe that is Sypho Dias. also, palpatine is creating a civil war to break the old republic and start the empire. that is what the dark side is clouding for the most part. that and that palpatine is playing both sides to take over.
