I don't understand people who buy an expensive piece of steak and then murder it by cooking for like 10 minutes on each side - completely destorying the flavour and texture and nutritional value of the meat.

My dad is one of these and he always tells me to f-off because he "likes it like that". To me that's like buying a nice new car then smashing the windows because you enjoy the fresh air. If you're gonna eat crap just buy a bit of rump for like £1 and you can do whatever you want with it - leave my nice sirloin to those who appreciate it!

Eh, if he likes it that way what can you do, all that matters is that he enjoys it, then its worth the money to him. Personally I would shoot some one who gave me a steak that was well done, but taste is subjective.

Hmm, might have to call the wifey and see about having some bloody steak for dinner.
 
I feel the same way about people who mix expensiv whiskey/cognac with coke or make gin n juice with saphire...

Nah raw/blue is fine, at least all the nutrients and flavour are still there, I just don't like that texture myself.

I feel the same way but overcooked good steak still tastes better than overcooked bad steak so if that's how they like it then more power to them. I always thought people like that needed to get over the idea of eating raw meat and they'd probably enjoy steak a lot more.
