I don't understand people who get neck tattoo's.

I work at a tattoo parlor in Wildwood NJ during the summer. No I don't tattoo people as I just work the counter. Well.. we have teens that come in and they will request these neck pieces. There only 18 years old and they are getting neck tattoo's! I'm thinking to myself how the hell are you going to get a decent job with a tattoo on your neck?

For instance.. we had this 18 year old girl who came in with her 2 children and she had a big tattoo on the right side of her neck. What kind of future is she going to have in 5-10 years? I usually don't put tattooed people down (I have a few myself), but damn... at least get the tattoo where you can easily hide it when you need to.

Speaking of people... we get all kinds in our shop. Gang bangers, wiggers, 17-18 year old moms, 40-50+ yr old women who are going thru a mid life crisis cause they dress just like their daughters. The moms are usually dressed in tight mini skirts with their guts hanging out showing off their naval ring.

No.. I don't hate them. Actually most of them are nice people, but society is cruel. Imagine interviewing someone with a neck piece. I have tattoo's myself but I would think twice about hiring that person especially if he/she is going to be working around customers all day.

The people with tats on their necks don't usually have the mental capacity to think past the amount of time it's gonna take to put it on. They will never get a decent paying(high dollar) job with it.

Nobody wants to hire someone with "shiznit" running down their neck to do the $40,000 a year jobs because 95% of them are dealing with customers of their company and not just with co-workers. Most can't think past their next buzz a matter of fact.

I have 2 myself. A panther running from my shoulder joint to my elbow and a wizard rising out of a skull on my chest that covers one whole side from just below my collar bone to 3/4 of the way to my belly button. I work in the Tech industry and can wear polo or dress shirts no problem. Although most in the F500 co. I work in knows I have them and most have asked to see them at least once.

My dad told my 18 year old little sister specifically not to get any tattoos above the shoulder and no piercing while at the beach for her summer vacation. What does she come home with? Her nose pierced and a tattoo on the back of her neck . She is in deep poop when her summer classes are over. I don't think I have ever seen him this pissed off.

he isnt that far off. Everything he listed can be considered a form of expression of ones self. A tattoo is no different. Just because it is perm. while the others are not is simply a matter of how long the expression may last, it doesnt change the fact that it is an expression.

I can't wait till you guys go out into the real world. You know... life sucks. The people who make the rules will not 99% of the time hire a person with a tattoo on their neck. And this: You can get a good job with a neck tattoo

He plays in a rock band and is very successful. If he got tattooed on his face it wouldn't matter because he's in that type of buisness that doesn't condone that type of expression. It's the same for Allen Iverson. The guy has a few neck pieces, but you know what... He's an NBA star. The guy makes literally millions of dollars. But are those people that I see on a daily basis, are they going to be rock, rap and NBA stars? I seriously doubt it.

Nope.. They will join the 99% of us who are regular joes/janes and attempt to get a real job and they will wonder why they keep getting shot down. The only jobs that they will get will be ones making $6-8 an hr.

I'm going to be teaching Special Education hopefully by next year. Imagine me going into an interview with a neck piece? Do you seriously think I would have a chance landing a teachers position. Hell no! The Superintendent would have one look and that would be the end of the interview.

As stated... the ones that make the rules are the ones that will not hire someone w/ a neck piece that is visible for everyone to see.

 

A lot of idiots are getting tatooed faces now. What dumbasses. It really says a lot about the person and their (lack of) self-esteem.
