I don't understand how some people just talk about politics

Seriously, is there really nothing else going on in your life? Surely these people must have other hobbies then getting into a useless debate where they almost never change the opposing sides viewpoint.

I still talk about politics with my co-workers, but its usually all of us agreeing how shitty Toronto is.

I used to like talking politics when I was younger and we were all still kind of establishing our own viewpoints and beliefs. When you're older, everyone is a stubborn fuck head who thinks everything should be done their way, and everyone who disagrees is a fucking moron.

It doesn't lead to fun discussions anymore

Politics is like sports for older people. Why is there usually only 2 sides? And why do you guys always go with your "team"?

Left and right, right?

It's all we're bombarded with all day on news etc. Though I sometimes wonder, with how bad things are getting in general politically, if it would be better to just ignore everything. Not like individuals can do anything to change stuff anyway.

Ignorance is what caused the current political climate so I doubt continued ignorance is the solution
