Why do people grow goatees? They are awful. Why would you want pubes surrounding your mouth? And it looks stupid, too.

Do you feel this way about all facial hair?
 
It is really a nerd beard. I think nerds think that goatees are arty, philisophical, and easy to maintain--perfect for a sensitive, liberal, dedicated mommas boy.
 
I'm actually shaving mine off tonight for a change (have had it for 3 years), but I don't think it looks bad or anything.
 
Most facial hair = :thumbsdown:

Most guys think they can pull it off - only a select few can, and the odds are that you can't.
 
I have a gotee because it makes me look older. Without it I look like i am 16. I used to have a full beard but thats just messy and the girls dont seem to like it as much.
 
I have had a full beard all winter. I get lots of compliments on it, actually. I think I'd look silly with a goatee.

That's pretty much the same reason with me. Plus, my wife much more prefers me with facial hair than without - A beard is a PITA and only cops can pull of mustaches these days. A goatee is a happy medium.
